Such great wisdom on all fronts. This idea of not spending less on work clothes when they're the meat of what you wear all week and always including something that sparks joy -- these are such gems. And that cashmere vest!
Amazing and bold initiative, Liza! I’d love to see more people on the internet follow your lead and actually stand up for what they believe in (especially when money comes into play). Very brave of you!
PS I’d love to see a capsule wardrobe for someone who wants/needs to be comfortable but still look stylish (e.g. a whole day out in central London that involves lots of walking, layers, big bags to fit water bottles, but nice enough to go to a fancy dinner in the evening)
Hi Aliya, Thank you so much for your kind message! The encouragements confirm that this was the right decision. In many ways, it is also freeing!
Absolutely! I’m planning to publish a bunch of other 7 days outfits features and include a lot more ‘day to night outfits’ seeing as many people seem to find these helpful! I hope you’ll find these helpful! Xx
Something I love about these posts are using them to shop my own closet and envision different pieces together. Do I own cashmere socks and Mary janes? Yes, but I've never paired them together until today!
Thank you so much sweet Liza, it is a pleasure to pay you for your perspective
Aw Maggie! You’re always coming through with the best comments 🌹
You’re using these exactly how I’m hoping people will use them (sometimes I even worry people will get bored of me hammering that point home haha): not shopping but using your own wardrobe to replicate!
I bet you’ve nailed that sock + Mary Jane combo! Xx
Happily will continue to support your interesting, helpful and unique point of view😊. I struggle with my style adjectives with your content as I always find 2-3 things that I adore from each of your capsules. Also, as someone who wears a white lab coat at work- I find dresses easy, functional and comfortable. Loved all the options you presented.
You bring up an important point, something I’ve been thinking about quite a lot: I realise that I should really insist on the fact that how you style certain pieces will give them a different aesthetical flavour… That sailor top is never going to look grunge or sporty, Mary Janes would struggle to be considered tomboyish. But the majority of pieces are versatile enough that they can be styled to suit different styles. It’s always the ensemble or the overall outfit that looks a certain way. And that is why, it’s totally ok that you might feel like your adjectives are a little all over the place. Also, some of these pieces you might fall in love at first sight, but then once you’ve let it simmer a little think “actually that isn’t me”. That’s how I felt about that sailor top haha! That’s the difference between “this is nice!” and “this is nice FOR ME”.
I’ll continue to include more dresses - thank you for the suggestions! Xx

Exactly! The amount I’ve spent on party clothes in the past…. when I go out once in a blue moon, makes me shudder 😂

Hi Michelle,
Thank you for your kind comment (as usual 🥹😍).

This is excellent. And thanks for your stance on maintaining a special, less monitized corner of the internet for us!
You’re so very welcome Kelly! Thank you for making me feel like I’ve made the right decision 😘
So appreciative of your transparency and proud to be a paid subscriber for your exceptional content and writing! 💕
