Happy last day of April! Where did it go?
Thank you for the kind comments on Sunday’s letter (I still need to get back to each comment!). I feel so grateful for the subscribers that I have - considerate and mindful shoppers and all-round smart and kind people. I often feel conflicted over the contrast of topics that I share in this newsletter. I cover a lot of personal style and shopping content, which continues to be extremely popular, but I also write about the impact of fashion consumption. I am convinced that it’s the combination of both that makes us savvy shoppers and I’m lucky that so many of you agree and are on this journey with me. On that note, to allow enough content to explore all the topics I want to explore and answer all the wardrobe conundrums you send my way, from now on I will be sending two newsletters a week. In addition to the Sunday letter, you will be receiving a letter mid-week (usually on Wednesdays). This allows me to maintain a broad range of topics. For example this week, you are receiving a Springtime Date edition of the 12-Piece Capsule column today and you will receive an essay about charity shops and what really happens to the things we donate on Sunday. Over the next few months, I’m also excited to introduce you to a few talented voices and curators who are joining me to work on the newsletter as it continues to grow. I will always listen to your feedback and make sure that paid readers get the best value possible out of their subscription (the amount of content you will receive is doubling but the price of the subscription does not change).
Enough of that. Today’s letter is an edit of curated pieces for Springtime dates🍸. We selected pieces that lean a little on the casual side so that will cover any plans you have coming up for drinks, casual bites, gigs or games whether it’s a romantic date or a friend’s date. I hope it offers up inspiration for styling things you already have in your closet or perhaps fill gaps you have in your Spring wardrobe. I’m excited for the extra letter each week to enable me to cover more themes and help you dress for all the events you might have coming up or trips you might be going on. May is my favourite month of the year and I have got some fun Spring and Summer content I am excited to share with you!
Love, L x
